Boris Pejović, Secretary General of the Europe Now Movement (PES) and Vice-President of the Parliament of Montenegro, announced this evening that the President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović told an absolute lie, claiming that the Prime Minister of Montenegro and the leader of PES Milojko Spajić proposed to the Main Board (GO) PES cooperation with the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), after the parliamentary elections.
Tonight, Milatović said in the Načisto show on Television Vijesti that, after the parliamentary elections last year, the GO Pokreta Evropa Sad (PES) proposed Spajić to cooperate with the DPS.
"The former official of PES and the current president did not even come to the sessions of the Main Board and openly advocated for inclusive and broad cooperation with the former Democratic Front (DF) and the Bosniak Party (BS), although now he believes that this is not a good model". Pejović pointed out in the announcement.
He added that it is surprising that without any evidence and so lightly the current president states a number of falsehoods, without any evidence, referring only to the credibility of his own beliefs.
"Also, this untruth aims to cover up a proven and already realized collaboration between Milatović and the DPS during the overthrow of the majority in Podgorica. Given this narrative and attitude towards those who supported him as a presidential candidate, there is almost no dilemmas on whom the councilor list led by Milatović is counting on in the post-election combine. It is the same majority that was established by shortening the mandate in the Podgorica parliament, after the announcement that the government at the state level will also be dissolved from the capital," said Pejović.
