The holder of the Forward Movement list in the upcoming local elections in Podgorica, Vuk Kadić, promised that when he becomes mayor he will not change his mobile phone number, but that citizens will always be able to contact him, while the car used by the mayor will be made available to citizens.
"We hear a lot of promises these days. Politicians are competing on the number of garages they will build, they promise even more kindergartens, and according to their plans, it looks like we will have to import labor for how many new jobs will be created. The trees in the parks will come down in a month day, and corruption will be at the level of that in Sweden. Well, let me join that trend of promises," he said in a statement delivered to the media.
"The first promise I give you is that I will not change my mobile phone number. I haven't changed it for ten years, so I won't change it on September 30 either," added Kadić.
He said that citizens will always be able to contact him, because he believes that the mayor should be available to those he represents.
"The second promise I make: the first day I become mayor, the car that the mayor is using now will be made available to the citizens. It will be used to transport those who need it the most - the elderly, the sick, those who need transport to the hospital, for an examination or to some service in order to complete the necessary documentation. By introducing this service, I want to show what it means to serve citizens," said the leader of the Forward Movement list.
Kadić concluded that he never promised the impossible and that he would be with the citizens every day to work together for Podgorica to move forward.
