Digitization represents a key step towards modernization, increasing the efficiency and transparency of administrative processes. The Democratic Alternative has solutions that will improve the work of local self-government through the implementation of complete digitalization, announced Tatijana Matković, a candidate for councilor from the list "Da se Kotor pita - Democratic Alternative" in the upcoming local elections in Kotor.
She promised to create a unique digital portal where citizens and entrepreneurs can easily access all local government services.
"This would include applying for building permits, registering residence, paying taxes, accessing property information and case status, as well as other services.
The portal will enable digital submission and processing of documents, which will significantly reduce the need for physical visits to municipal offices. The system would also enable monitoring the status of submitted requests in real time," explained Matković.
She pointed out that the introduction of electronic signatures for the validation of documents will enable a faster resolution of administrative processes.
"Citizens will receive digital versions of certificates, approvals and other necessary documents online, without the need to come in person," she added.
It also announced the introduction of automated chat services or bots that will answer basic questions and direct users to the appropriate services. In addition, it will provide live support via video or text consultations for specific requests, she added.
"We will introduce a system of automatic notifications that would remind citizens and officials of deadlines, necessary actions or the delivery of documents, reducing the possibility of delays and downtime.
Through digital platforms, we will enable citizens to participate in decision-making on local issues through polls, public consultations and proposals. In this way, citizens would have a direct influence on decision-making related to the budget, urban planning, education and other important topics," Matković pointed out.
Digital connectivity between different departments of the city administration will enable more efficient intersectoral communication and reduce the time it takes to resolve cases and duplication of work, she added.
"We will create a mobile application that will allow citizens to easily and quickly access the basic services of the municipality, from paying taxes to getting information about current projects and traffic changes. This application can also include functionality for reporting problems in the community (eg breakdowns, communal problems)" , concluded a member of the Democratic Alternative.
