Today, the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, issued a decree on the promulgation of the Law on the confirmation of the agreement between the Government of Montenegro and the Government of France on cooperation in the field of defense with the Technical Arrangement between the Ministry of Defense of Montenegro and the Minister of Defense of France on the procurement of two patrol boats by Montenegro.
This is shown by a document that "Vijesti" has access to, and which is signed by Milatović.
The Assembly adopted the law on confirmation of the agreement at the session on September 9, with the votes of 43 deputies.
Defense Minister Dragan Krapović then said that the new patrol ships should have the ability to perform specific operations at sea, such as the protection of national interests at sea, control of maritime traffic, protection of naval forces, as well as military operations at sea.
