The introduction of a forced administration and a board of trustees by the Government of Montenegro in the Municipality of Berane is the only way to ensure that the local self-government functions smoothly and that the citizens have an administration that executes and solves the accumulated problems, announced today the vice-president of the New Serbian Democracy (NSD) and deputy in To the Assembly of Montenegro, Jelena Božović.
"I believe that this model must also be applied in Šavnik, where illegitimate and illegal power is exercised by councilors whose mandate ended two years ago, which has long since become an infamous record for the region, Europe, and, I believe, the world," Božović pointed out in a statement.
She added that the Government of Montenegro, as an institution that leads the internal (and foreign) policy of this country, is obliged to intervene when the government at the local level does not function continuously and does not fulfill its responsibilities towards the citizens who elected it in the elections.
"It is extremely important for the Government of Montenegro to restore order in these two municipalities and provide citizens with regular work and functionality of local institutions," concluded Božović.
