Ignoring the Government's proposal to shorten the mandate of the Berane Municipal Assembly by Milun Rmuš (Democrat), the president of the local parliament, further complicates the political and overall environment in our municipality. It is obvious that there is no desire to solve this problem as soon as possible, and the parliamentary majority continues to fight among themselves and shift the blame to others, all to the detriment of employees in local self-government, companies and institutions, announced the Club of Councilors of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) in the Assembly municipality (SO) of Berane.
"The Club of Councilors of the Democratic Party of Socialists, once again, appeals and demands that President Rmuš act according to the Government's proposal and as soon as possible schedule a session of the Assembly where we would shorten the mandate. The unreasonable moves of President Rmuš are pushing Berane into even greater problems and hopelessness," the announcement states. .
They said that the current majority in the local parliament is on the move, and they reiterated that the councilors of the Democratic Party of Socialists will vote to shorten the mandate, "because extraordinary local elections are the only way out of this impasse into which the irresponsible rulers have pushed Berane".
"Whose interest is it, and why, that this city lives in hopelessness is now clear to everyone. The Club of Councilors of the Democratic Party of Socialists calls for the responsible behavior of every councilor in the local parliament and appeals for the mandate to be shortened as soon as possible," the announcement concludes.
