The Party of European Progress (SEP) is a project of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) launched with the intention of keeping their dissatisfied voters, Vasilije Čarapić, head of the parliamentary group of the Movement Europe Now (PES) in the Parliament of Montenegro and a member of the PES Presidency, announced today.
The SEP is led by the former Prime Minister and former high-ranking DPS official Duško Marković.
"The refusal of the DPS to address the fact that until recently their party vice-president and the last prime minister from their ranks founded his own party made up of a large number of their members, and their refusal to subsume this precisely under the term 'overflight' only confirms what almost everyone already knows - SEP is a project of DPS launched with the intention of keeping their dissatisfied voters. If it is not bad enough that a vote for SEP is also a vote for Duško Marković, who is anything but a healthy wing, add to that that it is also a vote for Jefta Eraković, Peđa Bošković, Miloš Nikolić, Veselin Veljović, Milo Đukanović and others like them, and everything will be clear to you," said Čarapić in the announcement.
He added that "what bothers the DPS about the Europe Movement now is that we are a movement of free, independent and accomplished people and that even today we gather around us quality members who bring long-awaited progress to this society".
"It bothers them that they don't have the kind of people in their ranks that PES has in its presidency and main committee, and it especially bothers them that in our expansion we continue to receive the support of quality people like Saša Mujović, Peđa Zenović and Bojan Božović. They testify that this frustrates them and their efforts to label our members as former DPS activists, and to present the marginal contacts they had with the DPS, which were inevitable since the DPS was absolutely present in every sphere of social life, as their flaw," he said. is Čarapić.
He said that "if someone's biggest flaw is that he once reached out and talked to someone from the DPS, then that speaks more about how bad the DPS is and not about the fact that he could not have missed it if he lived and worked in Montenegro Worse".
"In the end, the thesis presented by Ivan Vuković in a TV appearance, that the DPS gave something to someone or that it enabled them to make some career progress, is a reflection of his alienation and elitism, but also an acknowledgment that the DPS created a party state. On the other hand, we we believe that every person is free to make their own life choices and we want to create a society of equal opportunities in which effort and work will be a guarantee of personal success there is still a lot of work to do, because not everyone on the other side is capable of resolutely renouncing this legacy. However, no one can dispute that it was PES that proved in a short time that we are the best hope in the fight against the party state and from this we will not give up the battle," said Čarapić.
