The president of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and one of the leaders of the European Union, Ivan Vujović, said that the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) should "stop identifying with the state".
Vujović wrote on the X network that no one has a monopoly over Montenegro.
He said this while commenting on the statement of DPS leader Danijel Živković, who said that the only vote for DPS is "a safe vote that will go towards the defense of state interests".
"We do not allow ourselves to be measured by our commitment to Montenegro and our capacity to fight for its interests. The European Union has its own type of struggle that we do not impose on others. It is time for the others to understand this and get rid of exclusivism," Vujović said.
