The Berane committee of the Social Democrats (SD) appealed to the other parliamentary parties in Berane to make a decision on shortening the mandate of the parliament at the next session of the Assembly.
"This initiative represents a necessity in order to unblock the work of local self-government, which is faced with numerous challenges because citizens deserve an efficient administration. During the current mandate, there has been stagnation and political paralysis that prevents the provision of basic services to our fellow citizens," said the SD in announcement delivered to the media.
This party said that shortening the mandate of the parliament is a correct and responsible decision that will enable faster and more efficient adoption of key decisions for the local community.
"Therefore, we call on all political actors, regardless of ideological differences, to unite around this important issue and reach a consensus for the benefit of citizens," the announcement concludes.
