Minister Tamara Vujović forgot about the campaign and elections in Podgorica and recklessly refused the request of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) to erect a monument to Rist Radović, announced the deputy president of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and representative of the European Union, Petar Odžić.
"After consulting with the party leaders, he changes his decision and apologizes to the parish and the faithful people, of course, you shouldn't hold a grudge against them before the elections. If Mujović could wear a suit and tie to the liturgy on Sunday, she can also issue a decision, so the story goes. from the real and mundane to topics that suit them," Odžić pointed out in the announcement.
According to him, "immediately after that, the race started to see who would defend Rist better than Minister Vujović, and who claims Rist and the favor of the church before the elections".
"If it wasn't funny, it would be sad. What's left of secular Montenegro in the summer of 2024," Odžić concluded.
The Ministry of Culture and Media (MKM) will address the Government of Montenegro with a proposal for granting consent to the Municipality of Berane for the installation of a memorial to the former Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral, Amfilohije.
That's what Minister Tamara Vujović told Vijesti, stressing that the MKM cannot give consent to erecting a monument to a person whose death has not been 20 years old, based on the Law on Monuments.
