For thirty years, the corrupt former regime used Podgorica as a service for the realization of party interests and the enrichment of a privileged group of people. That's why today, when DPS is talking to the citizens of Podgorica about returning to power, it's actually talking about an arsonist who responded to an ad for fire station chief, and his reference is his experience in arson, said Branko Kovačević, a candidate for councilor from the list "For the future of Podgorica - the city all of us".
"During thirty years of irresponsible rule, the DPS did not solve the problem of wastewater treatment, which the people of Tolosa and the residents of all other Podgorica settlements know very well. The former corrupt regime has always only accumulated waste. The only return offered by the former, corrupt regime is a return to the past, but a return it won't be the same as before, because Podgorica is the city of all of us who are building a good and successful future," he pointed out.
Kovačević said that the electoral list "City of all of us - For the future of Podgorica" will continue to work in agreement with citizens to create a strong and successful city that we all love.
"Our plan is for every corner, street and neighborhood to be clean, for every household in Podgorica to have access to clean drinking water and a modern sewage system. Podgorica must be healthy and its citizens happy.
Over the past year, we have started clearing the ruins left behind by the DPS. Our city has public transport again. In just one year, from the non-existent city transport with 15 buses and 4 lines, we made a real city transport with 47 buses and 27 lines. We have a plan to switch to electric buses so that public transport becomes the main means of transport in Podgorica," he pointed out.
The representative of the coalition "For the future of Podgorica" added that in one year they asphalted 64 kilometers of Podgorica's streets, more than the "former corrupt regime" did in four years, and for the same money.
"They paved a little, and charged a lot for 'love' towards Podgorica. They put budgets in their pockets for thirty years, and we invest our budgets in the development and progress of Podgorica, and we will continue to do so in the next four years.
For years, the former regime used words such as 'development', 'renovation', 'progress' as a cover for personal enrichment and corruption. We bring stability, we overcome the past, we work with citizens to create trust, hope and stability. The coalition 'For the future of Podgorica – the city of all of us' is creating a strong and successful future for Podgorica," Kovačević concluded.
