Ministers from the Bosniak Party (BS) and Albanian parties left the Government session today because of the executive power's intention to approve the erection of a monument to the late Metropolitan Amfilohi.

This was confirmed to "Vijesti" by two participants of today's session.

One said that they did it because of, as he stated, "the illegal proposal of the Ministry of Culture for the monument to Amfilohi".

Today, the Minister of Culture and Media, Tamara Vujović, submitted a proposal to the Government for granting prior consent to the Municipality of Berane for the erection of a memorial to the former Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral, Amfilohije.

Previously, the Ministry rejected the request sent to them by the Municipality of Berane, because it cannot give consent for the erection of a monument to a person whose death has not passed 20 years ago, based on the Law on Monuments.

The session is chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Aleksa Bečić (Democrat), as Prime Minister Milojko Spajić (Movement Europe Now) is in Brussels, where he is to attend a lunch with the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
