Vice-President of the Citizens' Movement URA and member of the Parliament of Montenegro, Miloš Konatar, told Saša Mujovića, candidate for mayor of the "Europe Now-Democrats-Even Stronger-Prof. Dr. Saša Mujović" list, that while he was fighting against the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), Mujović remained silent and stayed in the headquarters of that party.
He reacted to Mujović's statement that the "anti-government coalition" is trying to cover up ignorance by attacking people who only want to improve the living standards of citizens.
"My Saša, let me tell you a few things, I entered politics as a student, in order to make my modest contribution to make August 30, 2020 happen - while you, Saša, were silent! Until that August 30, 2020, I am on the street was at every protest with Dritan, Luka Rakčević, colleagues from the opposition and citizens - while you, Saša, remained silent," says Kontar in a statement sent to the media.
The vice-president of the URA GP pointed out that Mujović was silent while he, as a member of the Parliament of Montenegro, voted or was one of the proponents of laws that increased the minimum wage from 2020 to 222 euros, the minimum pension from 450 to almost 147 euros, introduced children's accessories, free textbooks provided, medicine 'Trikafta' provided.
"After 2020, Dritan Abazović, as someone who was at the forefront of the fight against crime and corruption, risked his life together with his colleagues and brave members of the Police and the Prosecutor's Office, led the fight against crime and achieved historic results - while you, Saša, remained silent! Government of Montenegro Gore, led by Dritan Abazović, achieved historic results, lowered the public debt, enabled the highest economic growth and GDP growth in the last 10 years, enabled the highest growth in salaries and pensions during 2022 and 2023 and increased the standard of citizens - while you, Saša, were silent Konatar said.
He also emphasized that Saša Mujović remained silent when the current President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, rounded off the process of political changes and defeated Milo Đukanović in the presidential elections in 2023, when he won the DPS in the elections in Podgorica in 2022, as well as when he was minister 42 Vlade was one of the creators of the Europe Now 1 program.
"In the end, because of the citizens who fought for change for 30 years, endured pressure and sacrificed themselves while you were silent and thought only of yourself and waited for the chair - let me tell you: Saša, you were at the headquarters of the DPS.
