The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) said that, if it is part of the local government in Kotor, investments in culture and the protection and valorization of cultural heritage of immeasurable importance will be among the priorities.
"Our program includes a number of measures related to that area, but we will also determine who is responsible for the examples of devastation of cultural heritage, among which the most drastic and freshest is the one in Risno. We will arrange the fortresses in the area of the buffer zone in the protected area of the Municipality Kotor, and we will also valorize the Kotor ramparts through a project of rehabilitation and reconstruction of the complete fortification," announced the Kotor DPS.
They are also giving in order to speed up the formation of the Museum of the City of Kotor, which would be one of the priorities in the upcoming period.
"We will valorize the city of Teuta above Risno, as well as the fortifications at Crkvice, with the support of Austria. We will also devote ourselves to the formation of the Museum of Coats of Arms, along with the systematization and valorization of archival material related to that part of our municipality. We will create project documentation for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of Bujović Palace - Museum of the City of Perast "We will speed up the reconstruction of Visković Palace and Sveti Križ Fortress in Perast," the announcement reads.
They state that the status of the Ivelić Palace in Risno would be resolved, as well as that documentation would be prepared so that it would be fully valorized.
"This is only a part of the measures that we will take in that area, whereby we will determine other priorities through dialogue with citizens. Because, only by respecting their position, the Municipality of Kotor can be a true service to citizens," the announcement concludes.
