The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) announced that it provides support to employees in the services of the Capital City.
The trade union organization of local government bodies - the capital Podgorica announced that their members are constantly exposed to "pressure, mobbing and unfounded legal attacks, which culminated in an attempt to illegally fire the president of the trade union organization."
"DPS has been pointing out for months now the extremely difficult position in which, after the new city administration took office, a large number of employees in the organization and services of the Capital City, as well as companies and public institutions founded by the Capital City, found themselves. In the past two years, almost every day we received information about the political revanchism that was carried out with the aim of freeing as many places as possible where it was necessary to get rid of the cadres of the Europe Now Movement as soon as possible. The open pressures and persecutions culminated today in the attempt to illegally fire the president of the Trade Union Organization of the Capital City. DPS.
They also add that a number of employees in city enterprises are openly seeking protection from the competent state authorities.
"As a party that truly, and not declaratively, advocates for the professionalization of public administration, we want to provide full support to employees in the Capital City and to promise them that their opinion, political, religious and all other views will be exclusively their personal matter, and that the city administration that we will form after September 29 will take into account exclusively who and to what extent contributes to the achievement of the common goal - to make Podgorica a nicer and more pleasant place to live in. We will never again allow that, deceiving citizens with the pre-election story of alleged meritocracy, dozens of professional personnel are left without jobs or work assignments just so that someone who is politically eligible will receive a salary that he does not deserve," the DPS statement concludes.
