A man who is recognized among the citizens as a 'black box' and someone who keeps the darkest secrets of the former regime, today, instead of apologizing to us for everything he did, calls for a return to the old days, to the worst times of the rampage of organized criminal groups, whose development in the mandate of his Government is the most deserving, said Democratic Montenegro, reacting to the statement of the President of the Party of European Progress, Duško Marković, that many senior officials in the security sector have been removed from their positions or are not allowed to work.
"The security sector is being talked about by the man who nominated and elected Dejan Peruničić as director of the National Security Agency, who is now accused of illegally monitoring, eavesdropping, recording and photographing leaders of opposition political entities, church dignitaries, journalists and civil activists.
The man who, as the Prime Minister of the Government of Montenegro, turned the security services into the founders and administrators of the shameful portal called Udar me, which served to discredit anyone who opposes the Government of which he was the President and his party, of which he was the Deputy," reads the statement of the Democrats.
It is added that the man in question is the man who elected Veselin Veljović as director of the Police Administration, accused of two criminal offenses of smuggling, abuse of official position, money laundering and membership in criminal organizations.
"The man who elected Zoran Lazović as head of the Department for the fight against crime, who is now accused of committing the most serious crimes in the field of organized crime and corruption, who, according to the SDT's accusations, carried out the orders of the notorious Kavačac criminal clan with his son.
The man who allowed the heads of the security sector and his most trusted personnel to let regional butchers Marko Miljković and Veljko Belivuk into this country, promoting them at press conferences as friends and patriots of this country. "A man during whose term of office the private account of Ljub Milović, a high-ranking police official, grew to 48 million euros, while he pretended not to see or hear anything," the Democrats point out.
They add that Marković is the man on whose orders opposition functionaries were beaten and arrested in what they said was a brutal, violent attempt to take over power in Budva.
"We also remember well his threat that the state will solve Budva in 15 minutes. And finally, a man whose four-year mandate period saw the killing of 93 citizens of Montenegro, and 42 in the fight against criminal clans, while 6 were accidentally killed in those fights.
The question arises, what gives you, Mr. Marković, the courage to even speak out about the fight against crime? The sector that you trampled and threw under the feet of the European drug cartel, which you subserviently served, not caring about the fate of the Montenegrin youth. While your friends from the mafia circles were building empires, Montenegrin youth were losing their lives on the streets overrun by crime. No pasaran, Marković," the announcement concludes.
