We all expected that the political changes that took place on August 30, 2020, would bring something new and high-quality, not only in the political but also in the public space, announced Duško Marković, President of the Party of European Progress (SEP) and former Prime Minister of Montenegro. .
"However, the governments that have been constituted since then have not brought any new qualitative progress. Therefore, those governments are harmful to long-term state interests and they harm not only the state but also the citizens, every individual and his family," Marković pointed out on Monday at tribune in the Podgorica settlement Zlatica, it is written in the press release SEP.
He said that the SEP does not want to be a part of such a political process, but that it offers solutions for citizens' problems.
Marković said that Montenegro and its citizens are living through difficult times.
"We are witnessing the devastation of state politics and the dignity of the state. Populism has taken over the political and public space. The disorder in the institutions makes them ineffective. The key bearers of state policy do not communicate with each other but accuse each other of nepotism, ignorance and crime. They speak about themselves what is true, but the problem is that they are looking for a new opportunity to supposedly bring quality and progress. If it wasn't sad, it would be funny. it's a fight for political legitimacy, to do essential things in the interest of the citizens of Montenegro," said Marković.
On the other hand, he said, three governing coalitions are participating in the elections - the Europe Now Movement and the Democrats, the New Serbian Democracy and the President of the State and the URA.
He assessed that the situation in the country is very serious, without investments, without vision and with populist politics that does not bring progress anywhere.
SEP announced that the party in the Program Uredimo Podogricu offers solutions for ending party employment, solving the problems of traffic in the city and public transportation, the problem of collecting and removing waste, and the problems of neglected elderly people and socially vulnerable families.
"Our program contains concrete solutions for starting the economic and social development of our city according to European standards. The President of the Party of European Progress Duško Marković, the holder of the list in the election of councilors in the Assembly of the Capital City Ilija Mugoš and the candidates for councilors talked with the citizens of Zlatica and Maslin about concrete everyday problems in that part of the city," says the PES press release.
