I call on citizens to go to the polls and not fall for manipulations to preserve the monopoly that only a vote for the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) is a vote for Montenegro, announced the President of the European Movement Party (SEP) and former Prime Minister Duško Marković.
It was announced from SEP that this party held the final convention of the electoral list "Time for order - Party of European Progress - Duško Marković" for the local elections in Podgorica.
The press release states that the key message from the convention that "SEP has awakened the hope of citizens and was recognized in a short time, thanks to its responsible and serious approach, as a new significant force in the political life of Montenegro, without which it will not be possible to form the next city government of Podgorica ".
"The notion of an exclusive right to the title of the sole protector of Montenegrin interests is in fact the greatest danger for those same interests. Is a vote for a few more civic and sovereignist parties a vote against our state? Finally, is a vote for SEP, and for anyone in this Are you voting against Montenegro? Of course not. That's why I invite citizens to vote for SEP not because we are the best, because we are the only one, but because we are the most serious, the most responsible and the most decent, and of course we will stand as such without compromise on the defense of the state interests of Montenegro," Marković pointed out.
He said that he called on the citizens of Podgorica to "put their trust in our people, serious and responsible professionals, who will know how to organize our city, together and in cooperation with those who share our vision of a European Montenegro and a European Podgorica".
Marković said that the past campaign definitely convinced them that there is room for a decent, serious and responsible party on the political spectrum.
"The support that our program received from citizens in the past few weeks exceeded our expectations. We saw this in direct contact with our fellow citizens, who assure us every day that they want to join our team. They recognized what was so missing in recent years in Montenegro - seriousness and responsibility, optimism and faith that changes are possible. Tonight, I am sure that we have succeeded. The future government in Podgorica will not be able to be formed without the members of the Party of European Progress," said Marković.
He assessed that, in terms of values, Montenegro is in general chaos and fog, which was created to cover up the strategic change in the direction our country is heading.
"All the fundamental values of our society have been shaken, and some have already been destroyed. Is Montenegro a civil society today? It is not. It has broken into national courtyards, from which only the heads of the officials occupying the armchairs emerge. Are we today inheriting European values and do citizens feel legal security and equality before the law? None of that. Justice has never been selective like in today's Montenegro," said Marković.
He added that the current state government, without an iota of responsibility, turned the Montenegrin economy into an unsustainable financial system that will inevitably collapse.
"There is no way to raise the living standards of citizens if it is not based on real economic growth. We are witnessing a senseless race between populist increases in personal income, on the one hand, and rising inflation and living costs, on the other. For citizens, the result is always the same - every increase in income will be eaten up by price growth and inflation. According to the state budget, the result is catastrophic because the only way to prolong the agony is to borrow money under increasingly unfavorable conditions. Citizens are waiting for difficult times, and the creators of this scenario will be far from Montenegro. And that will not only be our problem, but also the problem of future generations," said Marković.
Electoral list holder Ilija Mugoš said that SEP will be a progressive part of the future city government.
"We are not a party that promises 'towers and cities.' area," said Mugoša.
He said that he believes that the citizens will see a way out of the tunnel of hopelessness and gloomy prospects in the people of SEP "who have the professional and moral integrity, obligation and dedication to start changing this situation as early as September 30".
In the SEP announcement, it is stated that at the convention it was said that the collapse of all systems is evident in the capital, and that the country is "on its knees in danger of being completely collapsed - economically, politically and value-wise".
"Today, this is a city where collapse, disorder, carelessness await you at every step. Today, this is a city that has become the prey of arrogant and irresponsible officials from more than ten parties, as many as make up the current government. Well, not even Vienna could withstand those appetites and lasciviousness. and Paris, and how will our Podgorica. We listen to them all these days and we can't be surprised. Everything will be golden, only if they get hold of the authorities again. It's like they've been in Podgorica for four years "States don't rule, and it's like we haven't seen them in action - what it looks like when they get hold of power and authority," said candidate for councilor Dragoljub Bulatović.
Doctor Jelena Knežević, a candidate for councilor, said that in the general disorder and collapse, the health system was not spared, which every citizen witnesses when he asks for medical help.
"I will advocate for the widest range of treatment to be available to our citizens through the public health system. I am not in favor of treatment and citizens' health being market categories. I believe that our public health system can be better and better organized, equally accessible to everyone. I believe that I will and I, as an individual, and the Party of European Progress will make a significant contribution to that, when we have the opportunity to participate in decision-making," said Knežević.
The candidate for councilor, Taida Salagić, said that this kind of society, in which all values have collapsed, does not give young people a chance.
"My dream is to, in a professional sense, realize myself in the field of tourism and to, with my knowledge, contribute to the progress of the tourism economy of Montenegro. Today, such dreams are difficult to come true in Montenegro. We are witnessing current events and the way in which progress is made in the professional field. plan", said Salagić.
The SEP announcement states that "speakers at the convention said that the upcoming elections in Podgorica are important because a change of government in Podgorica will certainly lead to the fall of the ruling coalition at the state level."
"They are only right when they say that their government is being defended in the elections in Podgorica. They care about both Podgorica and the people of Podgorica, the only important thing is that the government with thirty-odd ministers and three hundred assistants and secretaries is defended! Their defeat in Podgorica it will be a prelude to the fall of the Government that Montenegro does not remember.
