The arrest of the chief urban inspector for the southern region, Rado Dabetić, confirmed the corrupt nature of the current parliamentary majority, announced the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS).
From that party, they pointed out that Dabetić, who is also a candidate for councilor of the Za budućnost Podgorica list, was recently appointed to the position of chief urban inspector by Minister of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property Slavena Radunović.
"We call on Radunović to resign due to objective and political responsibility in order to demonstrate a responsible attitude towards the institutions," the DPS press release states.
They said that they do not want to judge and respect the presumption of Dabetić's innocence, but that this case proves that the current majority is mired in corruption.
This corruption, as stated by the DPS, is best seen through the operations of the Coal Mine, the Montenegrin electrical distribution system and the energy sector as a whole, as well as through the numerous doubts that followed the tender for cars for the needs of the police, the procurement of ships for the needs of the Army of Montenegro.
"When you add to that yesterday's arrest for buying identity cards for the needs of ruling parties, it is clear that the current government is completely immersed in bare crime in order to stay in power and continue further devastation of the state," the statement concludes.
