Jelena Borovinić Bojović, the list holder of the "For the Future of Podgorica" coalition, said that the coalition from 2020 achieved a great victory and "defended freedom in Podgorica".
"This is a big day for Podgorica, when the citizens recognized our program, our messages that primarily related to stability, thoroughness and the importance of the development of Podgorica as the future city of the European and democratic capital of Montenegro," she said at the press conference.
She said that she will invite coalition partners from the Government already tonight.
"Tonight we will invite Mr. Saša Mujović and Mr. Luka Rakčević to an agreement, because the main intention of our list was and remains an agreement. The other focus was the citizens, a strong, stable Podgorica, as a prerequisite for the further development of our city," she added.
The leader of the Democratic People's Party, Milan Knežević, said that they achieved a very good result.
"DPS achieved a result that is a direct consequence of the quarrels of certain political entities that arose from the majority of August 30 (2020). It should be a warning to all who swear by that majority and the necessity of dismantling DPS and yes, how much tonight , and Prime Minister Spajić and President Milatović, together with my colleague Mandić, with me and everyone who carried the election victory on August 30, sit down, hold talks, in order to trace a path that will not mean the return of the DPS to power in any form, nor in one city," Knežević said.
He says that a "xenophobic campaign" was conducted, that "the license plates of Serbian cars were removed, and dozens of citizens who were registered by them since the referendum were forgotten."
"All those remarks are the result of what they have been doing for three decades. Some of our partners and some from the prosecution believe that the bigger problem is the man who drank a glass of wine or the inspector than the man who killed the man in Cetinje. Could it have been possible to wait a few days to our list is not criminalized," Knežević stated.

The leader of the New Serbian Democracy Andrija Mandic said that they advocate a policy of reconciliation.
"We who won on August 30 must be united. We have a policy that is good for all citizens. Dear citizens, everything is clear to you. The coalition 'For the Future of Montenegro' has plans to overcome the problems. The first step is to form a government in Podgorica. I wish good luck to Jelena Borovinić, Saša Mujović. We made promises, they must be fulfilled - our policy is for everyone," said Mandić.
