The President of the Parliament of Montenegro Andrija Mandić congratulated the President of the Municipality of Rožaj Rahman Husović and the President of the Municipal Assembly Almir Avdić on the Day of the Municipality of Rožaj and all the citizens of Rožaj.
He said that the easier acquisition of citizenship is a step towards the integration of expatriates from Rožaj.
He pointed out that this day is an opportunity to remind ourselves of the rich cultural and natural wealth of the Rožaje region, but also of the important role that Rožaje plays in building and strengthening our country, according to a statement from the office of the President of the Assembly.
"Rožaje, in addition to its natural beauty and cultural values, is also known for its hardworking people, both those who live in the municipality and emigrants who throughout history, looking for better living conditions, incorporated their work and knowledge into societies around the world. Our emigrants from Rožaj represent the true ambassadors of our country, who promote Montenegro and its values in every environment in which they live with their efforts and commitment," said Mandić.
He particularly pointed out that we are all aware of how attached our emigrants are to their homeland and how important it is for them to remain connected with Montenegro.
"In this regard, I especially want to emphasize that our joint task is to work on repaying them for their love and contribution to our country, primarily by facilitating the easier acquisition of Montenegrin citizenship. This is an important step towards their integration and recognition of their importance for the development of our society," he emphasized.
Mandić concluded with the conviction that the Municipality of Rožaje will continue to develop, creating conditions for a better life for all its citizens and preserving its tradition, culture and multi-ethnic harmony.
