The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) announced that its objections related to the irregularity of the elections at polling station 17 in Prčanje were respected, and that there will be repeated elections there, according to the decision of the MEC of Kotor.
"Today's decision of the MEC is only a confirmation of our claims that Sunday's elections were marked by serious irregularities, with which the ruling structures unsuccessfully tried to achieve the best result by force, grossly violating the procedures. Even that did not help them. Already on Sunday, we all saw that in free fall, even though they tried to deceive the citizens by claiming that they are the strongest list," the DPS statement reads.
They add that even now, hidden behind the coalition with Europe, the Democrats "failed to avoid the cataclysm".
"And now, after the accepted objections of the Democratic Party of Socialists, their new decline follows. We will make sure that when the elections are repeated, unlike on Sunday, everything takes place in accordance with the law, that the outgoing government does not get any room for new machinations and that we show them that they are going into a deep political retirement. We call on all citizens to oppose those who did not choose funds on Sunday in order to get votes, to thwart their unsuccessful electoral engineering and to massively support the Democratic Party of Socialists," the announcement states.
