The leader of the Civic Movement (GP) URA Dritan Abazović said that in the local elections in Podgorica they got what they wanted - to decide on the further development of the city.
In a guest appearance on TV Nova M, he also said that the Movement for Europe Now (PES) and Democratic Montenegro "will not blackmail" him, and that "the DPS fell when it was most difficult."
He also said that he is "not interested" in what the coalition for the future of Montenegro is saying.
Abazović said that the results of the coalition "For a better Podgorica - Jakov Milatović" were somewhat lower than expected, but that they achieved what they wanted.
"And that is to decide on the further development of Podgorica. I think we should be satisfied," he said.
He added that he believes that neither he nor the President of the country, Jakov Milatović, have failed in the campaign.
"Sixty percent of the citizens of Podgorica want changes. All the lies about Velje brdo, all about Europe now 2, about pensions, Saint Tropez, roads and the highway could not gather more than 21 percent," Abazović said.
He also said that he does not know what PES and the Democrats want.
"Whether they are looking for a culprit in the holder who came from the DPS headquarters, I don't know, I am not here to comment on their results. Mujović said in the campaign that he does not want to form a coalition with us. If he does not want to be with us, he will not return to the DPS headquarters," Abazović asked.
For the coalition For the Future of Montenegro, he also said that "they have been hunting in the dark since he knew about them".
"We don't owe the DF anything. Let them not refer to August 30 for anything. Now they remembered August 30, when it comes to their armchairs," Abazović said.
He added that the Democrats "tied their fate to PES".
"We saw them in Budva, then in Podgorica".
Abazović also said that former President of Montenegro and former President of the Democratic Party of Socialists Milo Đukanović "installed useful idiots in the Government".
"When we talk about DPS, a rumor was created that they got more than expected, they celebrated and sang... If the government was like this, and if I were Milo Đukanović, I would organize parties every day. The man installed useful idiots in the Government. He will constantly grow with the help of Spajić, Bečić and Mandić".
When asked if he would go with the DPS, he answered:
"I brought down the DPS when it was most difficult. That was on August 30, 2020. But to make one thing clear - the Democratic Front, PES and the Democrats will not blackmail me. Mandić will not command with me as with Spajić and Bečić. We will give them the possibility, as we think, of forming a citizen's option, and if there is no goodbye, let them form a government with whoever they want," said Abazović.
