During the previous 11 months, the government of Milojko Spajić appointed 652 and at the same time dismissed 497 public officials, it was reported from the non-governmental organization Center for Civic Education (CGO).
They said that the dynamics of appointments and dismissals points to the conclusion that certain sessions of the Government were convened only for these issues, "and in each of them this is such an extensive point that it is also highlighted as a special report of the Government to the public after the sessions held".
"Montenegro has a disproportionately large and expensive administration. Unfortunately, although governments change, no one is dedicated to the rationalization, professionalization and depoliticization of state administration, and the price paid in Montenegro for public officials, both those in office and long after termination of office is a luxury even for much more developed countries," the announcement states.
"CGO has been advocating for years that official compensations be abolished or reduced to a minimum. Not even more than a year since the new parliamentary majority was constituted, there have been no changes to these legal provisions, and the announcements of certain members of the ruling majority that they will quickly process the issue in the Parliament are also they themselves 'forgot'", it concludes.
