8 citizens have the right to vote in the local elections in Berane, which will be held on December 23.652, the Ministry of the Interior (MUP) announced.
Compared to the elections held on June 11 last year, the number of voters in Berane increased by 179.
The MUP said that the voter can inspect the voter list in person, at the counters of the Regional Unit for Administrative Affairs, Citizenship and Foreigners in Berana, every working day from 14:XNUMX a.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m., with a valid ID card or passport.
It is stated that during the direct inspection, the voter can request to change the data entered in the voter's list.
The voter can inspect the voter list directly and via the internet portal www.biraci.me.
"On that portal, by entering the number of an ID card or travel document, a citizen can check whether he is on the voter list and at which polling station he is voting," says the Ministry of Interior's announcement.
As stated by that department, considering that the accuracy of the address where a citizen lives is important for the accuracy of the voter list, the portal has left the possibility of submitting an electronic request for a change of address within the municipality where he has registered residence.
"Also, a citizen can submit a request for a change of address in person, at the counters of the Regional Unit/Branch for Administrative Affairs, Citizenship and Foreigners of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in the municipality where he/she has registered residence," the statement added.
It is stated that voters who have an electronic identity card issued after March 30, 2020, can view the voter list directly and through the internet portal https://e.servis.mup.gov.me, using the electronic identification certificate that is embedded in the electronic identity card.
"Also, voters using the electronic identification certificate and the qualified electronic signature certificate embedded in the electronic identity card issued after March 30, 2020, through the https://e.servis.mup.gov.me portal, can electronically make a change of address within the municipality where they have a registered residence," the announcement says.
The MUP noted that, in order for a citizen to be able to inspect the voter's list in the described manner or to change the address of residence using an electronic ID card, it is necessary to activate the certificate in the electronic ID card beforehand.

"Citizens of Montenegro who have the right to vote are entered in the voter list, and after the decision on calling the election, people who acquire the right to vote no later than on the day of the election, according to their place of residence," the statement added.
