Montenegro is the host of the regional summit of leaders of the Brdo-Brioni process, which started today in Tivat.

Milatović's office announced that the summit of the leaders of the Brdo-Brioni Process is an opportunity to confirm good neighborly relations and strengthen regional cooperation, and to express the need for intensifying the strategic dialogue between the European Union and the countries of the Western Balkans.

The Brdo-Brioni process is a joint Slovenian-Croatian initiative launched in 2010, established to strengthen mutual trust and help the countries of the Western Balkans on their way to the European Union. Members of the initiative are Montenegro, Serbia, Albania, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo.

The leaders of all these countries came to the plenary session this morning, except for the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, who arrived later.

The plenary session, in addition to the host of the summit, Montenegrin President Jakov Milatović, was attended by the presidents of Albania and Croatia, Bajram Begaj and Zoran Milanović, the presidents of Kosovo, Slovenia and North Macedonia, Vjosa Osmani, Nataša Pirc Musar and Gordana Siljanovska Davkova.

The session was also attended by members of the presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Bećirović, Željka Cvijanović and Željko Komšić.
