If it was not clear to anyone the direction in which the coalition for the future of Montenegro (ZBCG) is leading Montenegro, as of this morning it is completely clear. A Putin-type autocracy whose aim is to abolish the freedoms and rights of citizens, and the first to be attacked will be "foreign agents" from NGOs, announced the representative of the European Union, Mirko Stanić.
"This name was used by their formal head, Aleksandar Vučić, while as Minister of Information and Propaganda in the late 1990s, he drew targets for NGO activists, journalists and opposition politicians," Stanić said.
He said that, fortunately, Montenegro has a very tough and robust NGO sector "to which the European Union will provide all possible support".
"Our goal, as well as theirs, is a European, civil and free-thinking Montenegro. Exactly everything that Putin's Russia and Vučić's Serbia are not today. That is why yesterday Vučić obviously came to show his attitude towards the host and the free public of Montenegro. show us where we belong," added Stanić.
"Unfortunately for him, the investment in Serbian parties in Montenegro was a complete failure, as we can see from the results of the local elections. In vain in 32 ministers and 7 vice-presidents of the Government, and in all public and state enterprises, in vain all the media hype - the citizens will no longer want you. But let me not forget, when we soon send you to the opposition, we guarantee you that nothing similar to what happens to the opposition in Russia or Belarus will happen to you. As an opposition, gentlemen from ZBCG, you will have all the rights that politicians and parties have in the most developed democracies in the world and NATO countries, because these are the values that we stand for in the European Union," he concluded.
