The URA civil movement announced today that the party will stand alone in the local elections in Budva on November 17, and that Blažo Rađenović will be the leader of the list.
"At the meeting of the Municipal Board of URA Budva, which was attended by URA Vice President Filip Adžić and Vice President Milena Vuković, in addition to its members, a decision was made that URA will participate independently in the upcoming early local elections in Budva scheduled for November 17, 2024. Also, they made a decision that the leader of their list will once again be the president of Budva URA, Blažo Rađenović, and that they will perform under the slogan 'Drugacije', so the name of their list will be 'URA - Blažo Rađenović - DRUGAČIJE!'", the announcement states.
The URE from Budva said that they had formed an election headquarters for the campaign and that in the past Sunday, their members had collected over 400 signatures of support for the submission of the list.
"As always, URA will offer citizens a comprehensive program with a focus on three key projects: A flat for everyone, which will enable thousands of citizens of Budva who are subtenants or do not have their own flat to get a roof over their head on much more favorable terms than the market ones. While If apartments are not built through the Flat for All project, we will also propose the establishment of a municipal fund that will enter the budget for the next year 2025, and which would provide subsidies for all citizens of Budva who pay extremely high rental prices until the construction of apartments is the construction of a home for the elderly and the care of our oldest fellow citizens. Unfortunately, Budva does not have such an important facility if we exclude the humanity of the nuns from the Catholic monastery in Petrovac who take care of a number of our oldest fellow citizens with care. And the third project that will be the focus of our campaign is the construction of an underground garage in the center of the city on the site of the former Zeta film, which would partially relieve traffic and solve the deficit of parking spaces", said the Budva URE.
They said that they will lead a "positive campaign and exclusively for the interest of all citizens of Budva, whom we invite to join us and provide support in order to clean our city from populists, criminal structures and all bad practices established during the government they led. Municipal presidents who have been arrested or are still on the run today, beyond the reach of our competent authorities. That's why we have to do something different for a better Budva."
