Although at the beginning of his mandate, Prime Minister Milojko Spajić informed the public that he is not interested in the defense and security departments excessively or at all, I believe that, as the first person in the executive power, he is obliged to declare the torture that the Democrats and the Minister of Defense Dragan Krapović are carrying out on to the Chief of the General Staff of the Army of Montenegro, General Zoran Lazarević, announced the deputy of the Social Democrats of Montenegro and representative of the European Union, Nikola Zirojević.
"It's simply incredible the amount of vomit that can come out of a political entity, even if it was the Democrats, but it's even more incredible that the prime minister acts as if nothing is happening at all. In the end, it's about the pranks and subterfuge of a professional who "dedicated most of his life, 35 years of service, to the Army of Montenegro, which today's Democratic officials, including the minister, did not even look at," said Zirojević.
He adds that "the culmination of those lies is today's claim that General Lazarevic was 'caught trying to smuggle a means of transport'".
"Appreciating that it is possible that those for whom entry into Croatia is a mental noun do not know the procedures, I still believe that anyone who has ever had contact with imports from the EU knows that the EORI number is not linked to the buyer, but to the seller and that it is intended to companies from the territory of the EU that export their goods to you across the border of the Union. So, it is not about any kind of smuggling, but about the fact that the seller from the EU country did not have an EORI number, which, in the end, he is not even required to have," said Zirojević.
He points out that the "constant attacks" by Krapović and the Democrats on the first man of the General Staff "are a scandal for the state".
"Because, whether anyone liked the general or not, he is the first man of the Army of Montenegro and a representative of one of the most important state institutions. For this reason, I call on Milojko Spajić, as prime minister, to end this agony and public slander of the general and the VCG, not because of anyone personally, but only and exclusively for the sake of protecting the integrity of the security sector, the reputation of the institutions and the state of Montenegro," concluded Zirojević.
