Independent member of the Budva Municipal Council, Stevan Džaković, accused Democratic Montenegro of cooperating with the Democratic Party of Socialists.
Džaković claims that the last session of the Budva Municipal Assembly revealed the hitherto "disguised cooperation of supposedly "angry" political opponents, on the one hand the Democrats, as a significant constituent of the current government, and on the other, the opposition DPS and Montenegro".
"In the absence of a quorum, partly due to my conditioning of further support for the ruling coalition, which you are probably familiar with, the Democrats announced the support given to them this time by the Democratic Party of Socialists and Montenegro, opposition parties that should advocate for new elections and they criticize the current government, and when that same government falls into a crisis, as was the case this time, and when there is no way out, then the aforementioned parties save them by providing support. Now it is completely clear that the complete parties behave like the often mentioned "Drago Đurović "in Nikšić, regardless of receiving or giving the majority", said Džaković.
He points out that the question for an ordinary citizen, who stood for the removal of the "previously corrupt government" in the elections, would be the following - "Who is actually the government here, and who is the opposition, that is, is it actually one and the same team?".
"The fact that they are the same team, they show publicly when they clean off each other, as is the case this time, and when they need support, then angry opponents wear the same jerseys. This time, the joint "coach" of the team, with the aim of concealing the truth from the public , wants to deceive the citizens once again regarding the disposal of state property, which essentially represents the current Agreement with the Prosecutor's Office, because it is about the property of all citizens, then cooperation is made with allegedly "angry political opponents" to participate together in a new fraud on citizens. .
Džaković announced that the Assembly authorized the President of the Municipality to dispose of the property, that is, that Krapović, "contrary to his authority, is doing work that by law belongs only to the Assembly".
"It is completely clear that such a decision is contrary to the Constitution and the Law on Local Self-Government, which the Constitutional Court and the Prosecutor's Office will soon declare, because only the Assemblies can dispose of municipal property and they do not have the right to transfer their legal powers to anyone. and not even the President of the Municipality. Everything here is done with a clear goal, which is that there would be no parliamentary discussion on this issue and that the details of the Agreement would remain far behind the eyes of the public and citizens," Džaković points out.
He adds that this is "an obvious fraud on citizens, which is carried out in the interests of powerful individuals".
"And to the detriment of the citizens themselves, through councilors who are elected by a small group of corruption-related persons at the very top of the parties, I conditioned my further support to the current majority by amending the Law on the Election of Councilors and Members of Parliament, which would finally ensure that citizens in accordance with their constitutional right they directly elect councilors and deputies and who would protect the interests of citizens, and not powerful individuals and party presidents as yesterday in the Assembly. Unfortunately, the Democrats, who in their party program have a determination to fight for the rule of the people, through direct elections, instead of standing up for the rule of law and true democracy in society in accordance with the Constitution and their Program, they, in order to show their loyalty to individuals from the very top of the party who gave them mandates, accept the support of even their "angry political opponents" such as the DPS, that would realize the interest of certain powerful people and hide the truth from the citizens," announced Džaković.
As he stated, this shows that "everyone realizes interest and personal benefit, to the detriment of the citizens themselves".
"Based on the latest events in the Assembly of the Municipality of Budva, I would like to tell the voters of DF to think carefully about what will happen in a year and a half when the two-year mandate of the Democrats at the head of the municipality expires. Any further comment on the position of DPS and others is unnecessary ", concluded Džaković.
