Adrijan Vuksanović made a slip during a speech at the congress of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ).
During his speech on stage in Šibenik, Vuksanović made a slip and thanked the wrong person - instead of Prime Minister Andrej Plenković (HDZ), he thanked Croatian President Zoran Milanović, who is a former member of the Social Democratic Party of Croatia (SDP).
"It is always a pleasure for me to come to the HDZ parliament, and this is not my first time. I always perceive this event as a holiday of unity. The Croatian community in Montenegro is no longer disorganized and the Republic of Croatia is no longer wounded by war, but it is one country with significant international credibility and influence, and she cares a lot about the survival of the Croatian community in Montenegro. We draw vitality and strength from that fact, and for that we thank the Prime Minister of Croatia, Mr. Milanović, for everything he has done and is doing," said Vuksanović.
After that, he reports Dnevnik.hr, silence reigned in the hall, after which HDZ members of Vuksanović were present and corrected.
"What did I say? Thank you to President Plenković for everything he does for the Croats, for everything he does and has done for the Croats in Montenegro. I am free to say here that no government has done as much as the governments of President Andrej Plenković." Vuksanović corrected himself, after which applause was heard in the hall.
