The leader of the Croatian Citizens' Initiative (HGI) and member of the Parliament of Montenegro, Adrijan Vuksanović, attended yesterday's 21st General Assembly of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) at the invitation of the Croatian Prime Minister and the party's president, Andrej Plenković, HGI announced.
The announcement states that Vuksanović emphasized that this was not the first time at such an event, "which represents a holiday of togetherness".
It is added that, after the official part of the event, Vuksanović talked with Plenković about important issues related to Croats in Montenegro, as well as the process of Montenegro's integration into the European Union (EU).
"The President of HGI thanked Prime Minister Plenković for his continuous and thorough assistance. He pointed out that by supporting the Croatian civic initiative, the President of the Croatian Government contributes to the perseverance of the Croatian national community, but also strengthens the pro-Western structures in Montenegro itself," he writes in announcement.
"Vuksanović informed Prime Minister Plenković about the successes of HGI in the elections in Kotor, as well as in the previously held election cycles for the Parliament of Tivat and for the Assembly of Montenegro," it added.
"At the meeting, it was agreed to meet again in Zagreb, at the Banski dvori. Vuksanović thanked the Prime Minister of Croatia for the regular communication and frequent meetings he has with him and his ministers," the announcement concludes.
