Today, the Constitutional Court will ask the State Election Commission (SEC) for a statement and documentation on one appeal regarding the elections in Podgorica, and two regarding the elections in Kotor, "Vijesti" has learned unofficially.

The complaint regarding the Podgorica elections concerns the polling station in Doljani and was submitted by the list holder of the "Forward" Movement, Vuk Kadić, while the two complaints regarding the Kotor elections refer to the polling station in Prčanje and the Mirac polling station, and were submitted by the list holder of the Democratic Black coalition. Gore and Movement Europe now (PES) Vladimir Jokić.

Ten days ago, Kadić submitted 14 appeals, which were rejected as many objections related to, as he claims, irregularities in the elections in Podgorica held on September 29. He demanded the annulment of the election and the repetition of voting in 14 polling stations, where 10.482 voters were registered. According to preliminary election results, 5.979 citizens with the right to vote voted at those polling stations.

The alleged irregularities referred to concern the mismatch between the number of ballots and the number of control coupons, and one related to voting at the Doljanima polling station, from which an extract from the voter list disappeared.

Jokić also submitted the appeals ten days ago, and in them he is reviewing the "deadlock" in the Kotor election commission, that is, as he told "Vijesta" earlier - he wants to prove that the ratio of eight to eight in it is not enough to make a decision.

The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) requested to re-vote at one polling station (Dom kulture) in Prčanje because there were two more ballots in the ballot box (271 in total) than the number of control coupons (269). On the other hand, the Democrats-PES coalition demanded that the vote in Mirac be annulled because the stamp on the ballots was in the wrong place.

After the Constitutional Court sends the request to the SEC, the commission will have 24 hours to respond. The court will then have 48 hours to make a decision.
