Montenegro has done a lot in a year since the formation of the new parliamentary majority and the Government of Montenegro, and our country has never been more united in history, announced the President of the Parliament of Montenegro Andrija Mandić.
The Assembly announced that Mandić met today with Johan Satler, the newly elected ambassador of the European Union (EU) delegation in Montenegro.
"The President expressed his satisfaction at the first meeting with the newly elected ambassador, adding that Montenegro has done a lot in a year since the formation of the new parliamentary majority and the Government of Montenegro, and that our country has never been more united in history," the statement said.
The Assembly said that Mandić and Satler agreed that it is of crucial importance that Montenegro "continues at this pace and perseveres on the ambitious plan of closing the chapter by 2026, for which it is necessary to continue the responsible approach to the accession process and preserve political stability ".
"The interlocutors emphasized the need for broad cross-party support for key reforms from the European agenda, including especially reforms in the area of the rule of law and the decisive fight against organized crime and corruption," the Assembly's statement reads.
