The coalition "For the Future of Montenegro" (ZBCG) assessed that Montenegro would already be a member of the European Union, if their representatives, in full capacity, were part of the Government formed after the parliamentary elections on August 30, 2020.
They say that the report of the European Commission on the progress of Montenegro confirmed what they have been claiming all along - without the ZBCG "there is no internal stability and no European path".
"It only took a few months after the reconstruction of the Government, for the ministers and vice-presidents from the ZBCG to make a key contribution in order for this report to receive a positive evaluation. And that is why we rightly highlight the question of how far Montenegro would have progressed if we had not been obstructed by the anti-European structures of the former regime that we do not enter the government after August 30. We believe that if we were in the government in full capacity, Montenegro would already be a member of the European Union," the announcement reads.
They said that this is why it is very important to "thwart the elements of the former regime who have changed into political jerseys in their plan to block our European path".
"All those who were an integral part of the previous regime, or did not feel the political gunpowder of the fight against Đukanović's dictatorship, were the least invited to talk about the European path, because all the time they were leading us down the byways of totalitarianism, or from distant destinations observing our political conflict with the DPS- After all, we have already stated that it is God's, but also political justice for the ZBCG coalition to introduce Montenegro into the European Union, because every important challenge requires responsible and courageous statesmen who put this country and its citizens first, namely our leaders. they certainly are," said the coalition.
