The call for the gathering of the parliamentary majority for the formation of the government in the capital should be initiated by the coalition of the Movement Europe Now (PES) and the Democrats, said the President of the Assembly Andrija Mandić.
Today in the Parliament, he told journalists that the coalition of PES and the Democrats should send an invitation for talks because they won the most votes in the elections out of all the lists that, as he stated, belong to the block in which everyone who shares the same ideas and beliefs as of 30 August 2020.
Mandic, answering the journalist's question whether there were informal negotiations and whether formal negotiations will begin, said that the subjects gathered around the coalitions PES and Democrats, For the Future of Montenegro and the one led by the President of the State Jakov i Milatović and the President of the Civic Movement URA Dritan Abazović should have agreed on the formation of the authorities in Podgorica.
As he added, this is his opinion, "and whether all political actors will behave in accordance with what the majority of Podgorica expects, we will see in the coming days.
"I think that this call for the gathering of the parliamentary majority in Podgorica should come from whoever won the largest number of votes, which is the PES - Democrats coalition," Mandic said.
As he added, they won the largest number of votes in the block to which everyone who shared the same ideas and beliefs belongs on August 30, 2020.
"This moment should be the moment when Montenegro returns to the natural order of respect for democratic standards, that the one who wins the most votes deserves to be the initiator, that is, that he is the one to whom the most important function in the capital belongs," said Mandić.
As he pointed out, they have been in power in Podgorica for only a year and have excellent results.
"If they continue together in the next four years, they could fulfill the expectations of the citizens," said Mandić.
