There will be no representatives of the opposition at tonight's reception on the occasion of Parliamentarianism Day. This was confirmed by "Vijesti" from some of the parties that do not participate in government at the state level.
The President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Andrija Mandić, will host a formal reception on the occasion of the 118th anniversary of the introduction of parliamentarism in Montenegro today at Villa "Gorica" in Podgorica at 19 p.m.
The head of the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), Andrija Nikolić, said that the representatives of his party will not attend because "the parliament is humiliated and there is nothing to celebrate and commemorate with this kind of administration of the Assembly".
Miloš Konatar, president of the parliamentary club of the Civic Movement URA, gave a similar answer.
As he pointed out, his party will not attend "because Andrija Mandić's actions as President of the Parliament of Montenegro are completely contrary to the principles of parliamentarism and parliamentary democracy, but also because together with Milojko Spajić and the parliamentary majority, he is collapsing the Parliament of Montenegro and making its work meaningless".
The invitation to attend was also rejected by the Croatian Civic Initiative (HGI). This party told "Vijesta" that they will not attend because of Mandić's behavior in the previous days, but also earlier, during the term of office.
"Vijesti" asked the Social Democrats (SD) and the leader of the Democratic Union of Albanians (DUA) whether they would attend the Day of Parliamentarianism, but by the time the text was published, the answers had not arrived.
