The civil movement URA will have a sincere commitment to the elderly citizens of Budva and as soon as it forms a new municipal administration, it will build a Home for the elderly, without delay and without compromise, said Slavica Todorović, a candidate for councilor from the list "URA - Blažo Rađenović - Different!".
She said that the realization of that project will be an act of respect and gratitude towards the generations who "created Budva as we love it today with their hands, heart and work".
Todorović says that "immediately after the formation" of the new municipal administration, he will determine the location of the future Home for the elderly and begin the development of project documentation.
"The Budva Home for the Elderly will have the capacity to receive at least 250 of our fellow citizens, with all the accompanying facilities: areas for health care and recreation, a movie theater, common areas for socializing and a large park around the facility. For too long, such promises were repeated and later trampled on, and such humane initiatives were left to oblivion. Our older fellow citizens, who built Budva and made it the queen of the Mediterranean, were left without the safe space they deserved. It is time to finally, and immediately, do what has been missing until now - provide them with a home, a refuge where they will feel respected, protected and loved".
Todorović also said that a Gerento service will be formed within the Home for the Elderly, which would provide food and medicine supply services to all citizens of Budva in a state of need.
"It is high time to repay those who built Budva and laid the foundations of today's capital of tourism, whose status is far from deserved. We are becoming a society of the elderly, and it is the duty of both the city and the state to strengthen the policy of support and care for them. Guided by the unshakable goal that our the elderly finally get what they deserve - a home in the city that they built themselves, we give a firm promise that the new municipal administration, led by our list, will finally realize this project to the end", the announcement reads.
