Criminal structures overpowered the state after the formation of Prime Minister Milojko Spajić's government, Filip Adžić, vice-president of the Citizens' Movement URA, member of the Parliament of Montenegro and former minister of the interior, announced today.
In the announcement submitted by the URA, it is stated that after today's new confrontation between criminal clans in Podgorica, in which two people were killed, Adžić said that he is extremely concerned about the safety of all citizens of Montenegro, who, as he said, at the moment feel insecure and scared because the security sector is in a chaotic state.
"Murderers roam freely in our country, schools and kindergartens are closed due to parents' fear for their children, and male leaders, like during the war, guard women and children in their homes," said Adžić.
He added that "after the clan war was stopped by hard work, the leaders and other members of organized criminal groups were prosecuted and there were almost two years without a single criminal murder, the security sector is now on its knees again".
"In less than a year, it was completely destroyed. Mafia murders, injuries, planting explosive devices and setting fire to cars have become our daily routine. To the great regret of all of us, exactly what we warned about is coming true, criminal structures overpowered the state after the Spajić Government was formed. The matter is even more tragic because this attitude of the Spajić Government towards the security sector gives an additional wind at the back of the criminals to continue their bloody showdown," said Adžić.

The lack of political will of the Spajić government to continue the fight against organized crime and corruption led to another in a series of confrontations between criminal clans with tragic consequences, announced the Citizens' Movement (GP) URA.
They said that it is a devastating fact that "again we have a war of criminal clans on Montenegrin streets and that in broad daylight on one of the most frequented roads, which is why we are also worried about the safety of citizens".
GP URA claims that, during the government of Dritan Abazović, there was not a single criminal confrontation with a tragic end.
They add that Abazović's government "showed enormous political will to put an end to organized crime every day of its existence."
"Unfortunately, citizens are witnessing tragic cases every day that indicate the state of the security sector. Although we have heard promises from Minister Šaranović and his party colleagues and government colleagues that they are ready to lay down their lives in the fight against crime, for now we only have 'deposited' photos and video clips, but no responsibility for everything that is happening. This situation undoubtedly leads to increasing insecurity among citizens throughout our country," concluded GP URA.
Two people were killed in a shooting in Podgorica, on the roundabout towards Nikšić, the News was told from several unofficial sources, which was later confirmed in the official statement of the Police Administration.
According to unofficial information, it is about Petar Lipovina and Žarko Pejaković from Cetinje.
