Starting in 2025, the municipal administration led by the URA Civic Movement will double the existing funds for co-financing sports organizations, in order to jointly strengthen sports in Budva and create the conditions for the proper development of Budva's youth", announced the list "URA - Blažo Rađenović - Differently! ".
The Budva URE points out that, in parallel with that process, they will start the procedure of returning the Mogren sports club and all the sports organizations that make it up to the ownership of the Municipality of Budva.
"Starting with the great basketball club (KK) Mogren, which the current management led with great enthusiasm and dedication, but which with the Municipality - as the founder and main financier, can achieve incredible success. We will apply the same recipe with other sports organizations SD 'Mogren ', in order to create solid foundations for the long-term development of sports and respectable clubs that will perform in the name of Budva. The time of disinterest and wastefulness in the Municipality of Budva - ends with the arrival of the URE in power and the formation of a responsible administration, which will - work better and differently in all segments ", they said from the list led by Blažo Rađenović.
They add that increasing the funds for co-financing sports organizations and sports events will significantly improve the status of all clubs in Budva, but also the possibility for Budva to become the host of more prestigious sports competitions at the regional, European and world level.
"With a little funding and organization, and through cooperation with clubs from Budva and Montenegro, Budva can become the epicenter of sports events throughout the year, which would be especially significant in the off-season. All you need is will, determination and knowledge, as well as contacts - which we already have, to make Budva a city of sports and representative clubs, which are our best advertisement", indicate the Budva URE.
They point out that a location must be determined for the construction of a new Budva football stadium with the necessary infrastructure, which will be a source of pride for Budva and a space that the Municipality will give to its football clubs.
"Everything that happened with the "Lugovi" stadium, as well as with the gambling management of the former FK Mogren, which from being the best club in Montenegro reached the bottom and was on the verge of shutting down countless times, is devastating. Such scenes and such an approach to sports will never happen again. we can allow it, if we love Budva and if we care about its sports heritage and bright future", said the Budva URE.
"The municipality must invest in the development of sports infrastructure, the construction of fields for volleyball, basketball, handball, indoor soccer and other sports, in order to motivate the youth to devote more time to sports activities and spend less time on their mobile phones. In this way, we will channel thousands of our children and future exemplary fellow citizens towards sports and a healthy life, and to create a large talent base for all kinds of sports and sports disciplines from Budva, which will be used by our local clubs. This is the recipe for a successful, different and better Budva, which we have been dreaming of for decades which we will build with joint efforts after November 17", concluded the Budva URE.
