The average price per square meter in Budva, as the perennial epicenter of various investments, is as much as 2.100 euros, while very often an apartment cannot be bought for less than 3.000 euros per square meter. This makes it almost impossible for an average Budva family - which has not resolved the housing issue - to provide itself with a roof over its head, while at the same time being able to withstand the costs of normal life, burdened by historical inflation. That is why the Municipality of Budva must, without delay, start the project "Apartment for all", which will build apartments according to the principle of affordable housing and sell them to the most vulnerable categories of the population at a price of up to 900 euros per square meter, announced from the list "URA - Blažo Rađenović - Different".
The URA points out that similar models have been implemented throughout Europe for decades, and that Budva is the best example of "gentrification", i.e. the creation of a city favored exclusively by big capital, over the backs of ordinary citizens.
"The recipe for the implementation of the project "Apartment for All" is very simple and contains four key steps: (1) determination of plots in public (municipal or state) ownership; (2) preparation of project documentation; (3) selection of the contractor and release of the same fee for communal equipment and other fees; (4) sale of apartments at the cost of construction to citizens who are tenants and who do not have their own roof over their heads. In this way, with a clear methodology that will give primacy to single parents, PWDs, young married couples and other categories of our population, the square footage of an apartment in Budva will amount to around 900 euros and will be affordable to almost everyone who has to solve their housing issue," said the Budva municipality. HURRY.
They point out that citizens who live and work in Budva throughout the year are victims of enormous costs, especially during the season, which drastically reduces their quality of life.
"It is precisely for this reason that the municipality of Budva and other coastal municipalities have the greatest obligation to implement such a program, because it is in them - for the average family - that it is the most difficult to solve the housing issue. And that cannot be solved by stabilizing the real estate market, because it has been a problem in Budva for decades, but exclusively - by the decisive action of the new municipal government, led by the Citizens' Movement URA", they concluded from the list led by Blažo Rađenović.
