The mathematics of the departing structures is clear - the bigger the political mud, the more decent citizens will stay at home, and this corresponds to those political structures that make Budva into a Spanish telenovela, in order to retain power and continue with their dirty work, said the holder of the list. Blažo Rađenović of the URA civil movement in Budva.
"While factions of the municipal government in Budva accuse each other of mutual betrayal, corruption and serious crime, while the mayor is still behind bars, while Budva fears whether it will have a traditional New Year's program or whether it will be empty in the key winter months, while the urban rampage continues and rigging of tenders, locations and jobs, while abusing public functions and making illegal employments, the outgoing government structures do everything to demotivate decent and citizen-oriented voters, who actions like this are disgusting, to stay at home so that the circus can continue for another four years," he said in a statement delivered to the media.
This is precisely why it is crucial that we all go to the polls and express a clear, civil attitude towards what is happening in our city, Rađenović said.
"They are doing everything to leave us at home, in order to achieve the highest possible percentage with their number of votes, but we must not allow them to do that. Budva has to do otherwise and I am sure that decent, civil Budva will give its clear answer on Sunday," he added. GP URA candidate.
He pointed out that Budva did not deserve the daily banter, mutual accusations and abuse of public functions for pre-election purposes, which is brutally happening on a daily basis these weeks.
"Instead of reading about the achieved results, new ideas and the vision of a better city, every day we are bombarded with insults and the most serious accusations against one and the other, so these days the Municipality acts more like an octagon for an MMA match between contending parties, than a service to the citizens, who all we pay and who must take care - exclusively of the interests of Budva. I'm sorry that we all have to witness the new ugly side of Budva politics, but that's exactly why it's important that we all go to the polls on Sunday and show - what do we think about their way of conducting politics", pointed out Rađenović.
He expressed his belief that the reduction of politics to this kind of mud was precisely aimed at demotivating a part of the citizens to vote, and so that the parties that make a circus out of Budva - would continue their activities.
"The more citizens stay at home, the easier it will be for them to keep the levers of power and continue their activities. That is why we must give them a strong, libertarian and democratic response - but not with abstinence and a disinterested attitude, because they want that, but by going out polling stations and by choosing a different, more decent and better Budva," concluded Rađenović.
