The executive director of the Academy of Knowledge in Budva, a member of the coalition "For the future of Budva - Budva must move forward - Mladen Mikijelj", Valentina Dabović points out that she shares the vision of the team that will bring progress and accelerated development to Budva.
Dabović, as stated in the statement of the coalition, said that the entire city feels the impact of the tense atmosphere due to political divisions, which makes everyday functioning and normal work difficult, and that everyone in the team expects that after November 17, with the victory of Mladen Mikijelj's team, changes will come. which will contribute to stability and restoration of common values.
She pointed out that the team believes in cooperation and togetherness, as well as a peaceful and constructive environment, and that their goal is to overcome divisions and direct efforts towards the development of Budva, despite the difficulties caused by political disagreements. She pointed out that the successes achieved by the Academy of Knowledge are the result of dedicated teamwork, great efforts and a clear vision. Through careful planning and dedication, this institution has significantly improved its operations and become a leading institution with high ratings.
She pointed out that the Academy of Knowledge, from an institution that was on the verge of sustainability, is now an institution that achieves enviable results, and in 2021 and 2022 the profit increased by 40%.
"We are proud that we managed to achieve this success and show that it is possible to exceed expectations and achieve stable growth and development," said Dabović.
She states that they are especially motivated by recognitions outside the borders of Montenegro.
"The publication of an article in the Italian magazine 'Notiziario' represents a significant recognition and confirmation of our work. Frequent visits by foreign delegations strengthen the image of the Academy and the whole of Budva, with which the Academy shows the ambitions and wishes of the community in which it operates," she added.
Dabović said that in managing the Academy of Knowledge, she applies an approach based on a clear vision, teamwork, responsibility and flexibility according to the needs of clients and citizens. He believes that simplicity and honesty are key to successful leadership, which would be useful for the Municipality of Budva.
She emphasized that it was precisely because of the dedication and results achieved by Mladen Mikijelj in the Public Enterprise for the Management of the Marine Assets of Montenegro that she decided to join his team.
"Our vision is for Budva to become the driving force behind the development of the entire Boka and the Montenegrin coast," said Dabović.
She pointed out that she is proud of the "Solvent Rating" award, which is the result of the joint work of the entire team, and added that this recognition gives them additional motivation to achieve even better results and contribute to the development of Budva. Today, the Academy of Knowledge is an institution that has reached its maximum capacity, and the waiting lists for parking spaces are getting longer.
Dabović said that their priorities are to retain existing partners, improve conditions and expand the offer, and that they plan to complete the fourth floor as the first step in the next year and expand capacity.
Speaking about the preservation of the authenticity of Budva, she said that more attention should be paid to the engagement of young experts, because this is the only way the city can restore and preserve its essential values. She added that the coalition "For the future of Budva - Budva must go forward" advocates for Budva as a unique and authentic place that provides opportunities for the development of young generations.
She said that at the head of the Academy of Knowledge, she develops cultural and scientific content, and that she sees the Academy as a complex, multicultural and scientific institution, whose priorities are the conscientious management of space and the fulfillment of the needs of the citizens of Budva.
The Academy actively cooperates with numerous institutions and participates in educational, health and cultural projects, including support for the Budva City Choir and Budva Junior Music School.
Valentina Dabović said that she sees Budva undergoing key changes for the better in the next four years. With the support of the Government of Montenegro, the main priorities of the coalition include the construction of new schools, kindergartens, city hospitals, promenades, as well as the development of rural tourism and the preservation of villages. She emphasized that the expansion of the city port of Budva and the takeover of the port of Petrovac represent important infrastructure projects that will improve life in Budva in the long term.
She added that the coalition is sure that in the first years of its mandate, it will resolve all open issues related to the space managed by the Academy of Knowledge, which will become an even more significant resource for the children and youth of the city.
