The political and moral collapse in Budva reaches its peak in the last days of the campaign. The political scum created by the liberators, Mandić's conciliators, disgusts not only the citizens of Budva, but also the whole of Montenegro and the region, said Petar Odžić, holder of the list "European Union - Petar Odžić (SDP, SD, LP and citizens) - Clean choice".
According to him, apart from the devastation of local and state resources, where millions of euros are poured into the same thieves who have been robbing Budva for a couple of decades, they also send an image of constant strife and division in the people.
"For all that time, we see how one destination after another overtakes us, in terms of offer and traffic in tourism. In the municipality, you don't know who manages what, in companies you don't know who is the director on any given day," says Odžić.
We are witnessing, says Odžić, the complete collapse of Budva, and we often hear the thesis that Budva is bankrupt.
"On November 17, it's time for changes, Budva will emerge from bankruptcy and shine with its old glory. The European Union will be the bearer of those changes, we will show that the current majority at the state level has no support even in Budva, said Odžić.
Đurović: The wave of change starts here and now, let's show on Sunday that it is a clean choice - the only choice
"Budva deserves honesty, stability and development, not carelessness and division", declared at the final meeting of the list "European Union - Petar Odžić (SDP, SD, LP and Citizens) - Clean Choice", councilor candidate Mihailo Đurović.
Đurović emphasized that Budva is a rich city with great potential, often under attack from the interests of powerful individuals, and that a determined and persistent struggle for a fairer society is needed.
"We have been fighting for years to make our city orderly, fair and modern, but we know that it is not an easy task at all," he added, alluding to the challenges they face.
"We are here for the benefit of the city, teaming up with partners and fighting for Budva, but never trading our values and positions," Đurović emphasized.
He recalled the turbulent periods and criminal affairs in Budva, especially between 2010 and 2016, when, as he pointed out, a difficult but correct decision on political independence was made.
"We were able to do that because our people came out of power with clean hands and bright faces - you will never be ashamed of them," he pointed out.
Đurović then condemned the current situation in Budva, which, according to him, is the result of negligence and mismanagement by the current government.
"But today, after years of carelessness and ignorance, it's a shame. Guests are clamoring for tourist facilities, while the city is full of garbage, and the water supply is unsafe," he stated, criticizing the problems in public enterprises and sports, and added:
"The utility companies are on the pillar of shame, while the tourism organization does not even have funds for basic needs because they employed an incredible 150 people."
Speaking about the future of Budva, Đurović called on citizens to go to the polls on November 17 and vote for changes.
"From this depth in which Budva found itself, we must move towards changes. The wave that will wash over Montenegro starts here, now, and after these elections", Đurović concluded.
