Nikola Jovanović, the holder of the "Budva our city" list, after performing his civic duties at polling station number 10, said that he hopes that the election day will pass regularly, in a good atmosphere and in a democratic spirit, Media Biro reports.
Local elections were held in Budva today.
"Although this election campaign was quite difficult for us and was full of elements of a dirty campaign, with a lot of manipulations, attempts to insult honor, dignity and reputation, I think that our fellow citizens recognized the truth of the offers and will know how to appreciate it," Jovanović said. .
On this occasion, he highlighted the optimistic forecasts for the result of the "Budva our city - Nikola Jovanović" list.
"I expect much more convincing results than in the elections on May 26. This means that individually we will be the electoral list with the most votes and the largest number of mandates and that we will be the backbone of the future government. We are sure of our electoral victory, which is why we decided not to form the government at any cost after the first election cycle, but to give the citizens of Budva a second chance and I am sure that the citizens of Budva will use it wisely. "In the next four years, the citizens of Budva will get political stabilization, but also a government that will lead the city and the city administration in a responsible and transparent manner in their interest," added Jovanović.
He emphasized that he would keep his word and that he would not form a coalition with either the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) or the New Serbian Democracy (NSD).
"We didn't put an equal sign between these two parties by chance. The New Serbian Democracy unfortunately took over all the bad values of the DPS and after 2020 continued to behave the way the DPS had behaved for 30 years. All the others are desirable coalition partners for us, so we will considering the result we will achieve, we will be able to choose," said Jovanović.
