The leader of the "Movement for the City" voter group, Đorđe Zenović, thanked the women and men of Budva for their support, saying that they will "continue an even fiercer fight against the dark forces that govern the city."
"On behalf of the 'Movement for the City' and my own name, I thank the brave and indomitable fellow citizens for all the support we receive these days and for every vote they gave to these great people with whom I am honored and privileged to be on the electoral list. I would also like to thank all the citizens of Budva for a peaceful and democratic election day. It is not easy in the atmosphere that has prevailed in recent years to go to the polls freely and without fear and support the option that we believe deserves support makes you proud," Zenović pointed out in the announcement.
According to preliminary results, at yesterday's local elections in Budva, the list led by Zenović received 736 votes or 6,41 percent, so in the new convocation of the Budva Municipal Assembly (SO), it should have two mandates.
"Our fight with all the dark forces that govern the processes in the city is fierce and will be even fiercer, but the people are a little short of freeing themselves from restraint and influence. This is the first step towards that goal, and with perseverance we will reach it. Budva will be asked from Budva and the city will be decided exclusively by you. It will be a beautiful and pleasant city to live and work in, but we must work together on it. Once again, from the bottom of my heart, local movements of people without party signs are the future Montenegro, that is now clear to everyone," Zenović concluded.
