The case related to the list of "double" voters, which the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) submitted to the police almost two months ago, is under investigation, the Basic State Prosecutor's Office (ODT) Podgorica told "Vijesta".
"The acting state prosecutor undertakes all the measures and actions provided for by law in order to shed light on decisive facts. In order to protect the interests of the proceedings, it is not possible to provide more information for now", said the ODT in response to the question of "Vijesti" - what has been done so far in the case of "double" voters.
President of DPS Danijel Zivkovic on September 28, the day before the elections in Podgorica, he submitted to the Security Center in the capital a list with 2.300 names of those suspected of exercising voting rights in that party in Serbia, Republika Srpska and Montenegro. After that, the ODT formed a case.
A few days before that, Živković said at a press conference that they have "irrefutable evidence" that over 3.300 people who have the right to vote in Serbia and the entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) are on the voter list for the elections in Podgorica. He said that the DPS will not allow those people to vote, but he did not say how, instead he announced that they would submit their names to the "competent prosecutor's office" and the election committees.

According to "Vijesti" knowledge at the time, DPS established that among those who have the right to vote in Podgorica and in Serbia, there are some MPs, candidates for councilors in the elections in Podgorica and their family members, well-known businessmen, prominent former and current athletes, professors, journalists , doctors…
Among those who can vote both in the capital and in the RS, there are no more familiar names to the general public. Half of them are registered in the voter list in Banja Luka, about twenty in Bijeljina, close to twenty in Čelinac and Dobi, ten each in Prijedor and Pale...
The elections in Podgorica ended without incident, and due to suspected irregularities, the "Forward" Movement submitted 14 objections, which were first rejected by the State Election Commission and then by the Constitutional Court.
List holder of that movement Vuk Kadic, he demanded the annulment of the election and the repetition of voting at 14 polling stations, where 10.482 voters were registered, and about 5,9 of them voted.
The alleged irregularities related to the mismatch between the number of ballots and the number of control coupons, and one related to voting in Doljani, for which an extract from the voter list disappeared.
In the elections, DPS won 19 mandates, the coalition of the Europe Now Movement (PES) and Democratic Montenegro 14, the coalition "For the Future of Podgorica" 13, the list "Za bolju Podgorica" six, the European Union three, and the Party of European Progress and the Movement "Revolution" ” for two terms. The "Forward" movement did not pass the census.
On October 30, the Election Commission of the Capital announced the final results of the local elections, after the Constitutional Court rejected appeals on alleged irregularities.
Elected councilors, according to the Law on the Election of Councilors and Members of Parliament, have up to 90 days from the announcement of the official election results to elect the Speaker of the Parliament.
