Competent authorities will be consistent when the sword of justice knocks on the door of Social Democrats (SD) officials, it was announced today from Democratic Montenegro.
"Democratic Montenegro praises the work of the Special State Prosecutor's Office so far, in which we see a sincere partner in the fight for a decriminalized Montenegro and a Montenegro with the rule of law, as well as their decision to revise the decision to dismiss the criminal complaint in the case of 'forgotten' works on the Princess highway Ksenija, whose main culprit is none other than the former Minister of Transport - Ivan Brajović, whose party colleagues are racing to attack the new government as soon as someone is prosecuted and arrested," the Democrats' statement emphasized.
"Vijesti" announced today that the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) is re-determining whether the former Minister of Transport and the former president of the SD Ivan Brajović violated the regulations in the case of contracting and building the forgotten loop on the highway. They do this according to the guidelines of the Supreme State Prosecutor's Office.
"As a reminder, the former president of the party, in just one of his affairs, quite 'accidentally' forgot to include the interchange at Smokovac in the plan for the highway, which in the end, together with numerous also 'forgotten' works, interest and exchange rate differences, the auto - the trip cost citizens 'only' 300 million euros more," reads the announcement of Democratic Montenegro.
From that party, they added that "this is not the only affair of the party that held the bag while the mafia stole", and that their affairs during the years they were in power were lined up like a tape.
"By far the best example of SD's arrogant and reckless behavior is the fact that they didn't even want to pay for the party meeting with the money of the party, but for that they put their hand in the pocket of the citizens and took out 950 euros. Although Ivan Brajović gave false testimony before the court and claimed that he would never pay for the party rally with the citizens' money, the court found otherwise million, which Brajović and his Social Democrats have proved many times," reads the statement of the Democrats.
They also state that "the textbook example of corruption and the proof that Brajović obtained his doctorate in the subject of 'embezzlement' when, as Minister of the Interior, he colluded with Veselin Veljović and Aco Đukanović, in the Limenko case, enabled him to receive 10,5 million euros from the state, because the state did not fulfill its contractual obligation within the deadline".
"As Brajović and his bullion then behaved with Luje's 'the state is me', it is no wonder that the state did not fulfill its contractual obligation and made Đukanović's already fat wallet heavier by an additional 10,5 million euros. Of course, there is also the affair involved for the deposit of the Airport of Montenegro in which, miraculously, Ivan Brajović once again participated and, together with other persons, agreed to deposit the money of the Airport of Montenegro in Atlas Bank, in order to close it in return all the loans he had. For this purpose, Knežević agreed with Brajović to buy his land in Bjelopavlići at a price many times higher than the real one. Brajović's spectacular affairs never end - a true social democrat, citizens first," the statement reads.
Democratic Montenegro said that Brajović's party colleagues also duly followed Brajović's example as far as affairs are concerned.
"The former Minister of Health, Kenan Hrapović, is suspected of illegally diverting money to the private clinic in Kodra and thereby damaging the state by 3 million euros. And his family members are also known as big lovers of expensive handbags, luxury clothing and travel, which the minister of course, he provided everything from his modest salary. If he was an astronaut, he would not be able to cover those expenses," the Democrats said.
They claim that the current president of the SD Damir Šehović is not far behind, who, according to the Democrats, together with his colleagues from the Government who were members of the Commission for Housing Affairs of the Government of Montenegro, abused his official position and thus damaged the budget by 2,6 million euros .
"He failed to overtake Hrapović, but that's why he bought an apartment worth 89 euros, for only 22 euros. Once again, the Social Democrats are 'turning the game around'. Of the SD's slogan 'We decide Consistently', it is still more correct 'We take Consistently' , and the competent authorities will be consistent when the sword of justice knocks on the door of SD officials, because in addition to the above-mentioned affairs, there are also affairs about the apartments of others officials, as well as embezzlement related to the Parliament of Montenegro," concludes the statement of the Democrats.
