Democratic Montenegro MP Momčilo Leković expressed his support and praised the security sector, after the police shed light on the murders of Petar Lipovina and Žarko Pejaković.
Leković pointed out that this is the result of superhuman efforts, that is, the dedicated, serious and responsible work of the police, which, according to him, showed all the strength of the security sector, and that in moments of enormous social pressure. He also asked the question "on duty critics of the security sector" where they are now to praise the results.
"As I pointed out a few days ago, organized crime is most afraid of the results of the work of the security sector, and the results are the best possible response to all the attacks and pressures that this sector has been suffering for months. On this occasion, I express my full support and commend the security sector, the Ministry of internal affairs, the Police Directorate, that is, the criminal police, which is headed by the acting assistant director for the Department for the fight against crime, Lazar Šćepanović, is responsible for solving serious crimes, which the entire security sector continued to produce significant results in the fight against organized crime," according to the press release Leković delivered to the media.
He also praised the efforts of the police that resulted in the arrest of two persons in Nikšić, in which way another planned murder was prevented, which, according to Leković, once again confirmed the determination of the police to stand in the way of all criminal groups.
"In addition, the public has been informed that another murder that took place in the previous days has been solved, which is an additional confirmation of the professionalism and efficiency of the police. These results are clear evidence that the police are doing their job in the best possible way, according to their capabilities and current capacities. while it is up to the judiciary to demonstrate responsibility and efficiency.
On this occasion, I ask a question to the on-duty critics of the security sector: where are you now to praise these results?" asked Leković.
He pointed out that when it comes to the police and the security sector, we witness frequent attacks on their work, but when success should be acknowledged and praised, silence prevails.
"If by any chance a murder had happened in Nikšić, at least twenty members of the opposition would have jumped within half an hour to demand resignations, and now that the murder has been prevented, complete silence and silence," concluded the Democrat deputy.
