Saša Mujović, the holder of the list of the Europe Now Movement and the Democrats in the local elections in Podgorica, said that the position of mayor of Podgorica belongs to that coalition, and that the coalition "For a better Podgorica" to which Luka Rakčević belongs can have its own wishes, but that it is unrealistic to seek a mayor.
He said this after a meeting of the participants of the local elections in Podgorica, which was initiated by Jelena Borovinić Bojović, the holder of the electoral list "City of all of us - For the future of Podgorica".
Borovinić Bojović said that she initiated today's meeting in order to start a dialogue with the clear intention of agreeing on the future government in Podgorica.
"The criteria of the parties we invited were principles that are contrary to the DPS. The parties of the current government in Podgorica have received great trust from the citizens, and it is our turn to respect it," Borovinić Bojović said after the meeting.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Europe Now Movement (PES) and Democratic Montenegro, Ministers of Energy Saša Mujović (PES) and Justice Bojan Božović (PES), Interior Affairs Danilo Saranović (Democrats) and Vladimir Čađenović (Democrats).
In front of the list "City of all of us - For the future of Podgorica", apart from Borovinić Bojović, Vladimir Bulatović (DNP), Radoš Zečević (NSD), Koča Đurišić (NSD) and Bogdan Božović (SNP) were at the meeting.
Borovinić Bojović also said that she expected the presence of representatives from GP URA and the Movement for Podgorica.
"I found out from the media and dialogue with my colleagues from the Movement for Podgorica that they are working on a platform. I am surprised because they initiated the elections and don't have it yet," Boreovinić Bojović said.
She added that the constituent session of the Assembly of the Capital City is on November 28.
"We had a constructive meeting. We talked about ideas and visions. Conversation and agreement is the only measure of real things. I have never used the principle that agreements will only be as I say. In any case, what is most important is respect for democratic principles. We cannot arrange for citizens to be a training ground for political misunderstandings," she said.
After the meeting, Mujović said that two months after the election, "we see that they need additional time as they envision our city in the future."
"The lists that were at the meeting have a clear platform - we want a strong city government. But democratic principles must be respected - participation at the level they trust. There is a balance in politics, but obstruction occurs when the balance thinks that it is more important than the balance "We want this city to get the power it deserves as soon as possible. We are next to everything, for the good of this city," Mujović said.
Borovinić Bojović said that she will have an agreement tomorrow, and that she expects that she will agree on those that are common positions, and then on those that are not.
"We have a total of 13 mandates, they have 14. I never said that I should be mayor, although my legitimacy is greater than the legitimacy of Luka Rakčević," she pointed out.
